A very famous quotation is Homoeopathic doctor fails never fails Homoeopathy” Now very important question comes in the mind, why a homoeopathic doctor fails? There are so many causes in account of these, a Homoeopathic doctor fails. First and most important cause is.
1.  Improper selection of medicine – selection of the correct medicine in homoeopathic system is very difficult task. Like other medical system, a homoeopath can not use mixture of two or more medicines; he/she can not use homoeopathic medicine with medicines of other system like Allopathic or Ayurvedic. Such type of practice not supported by Dr. Hahnemann.   If any doctor practicing in such way and able to produce relief for patient, that was only a luck, because two or more medicines never produce cure, yes but it can palliate the complaint of patient. Patient in the hand of such physician never get cure   Cure is the radical healing of sick, it can  produce only when physician follow the guideline given by Dr. Hahnemann mentioned in the  Organon of medicine.
In Organon of medicine, many aphorism has been written by Dr. Hahnemann that guide us for the selection of medicine.
First Aphorism –          “The physician’s high and only mission is to restore the sick to health, to cure, as it is termed”
Generally Homoeopathic physician thinks that, this aphorism has been written only about mission of physician, in which Dr. Hahnemann says, as a doctor your first and only duty is to cure the sick. Now what is the exact meaning of sick, is not mentioned by Dr. Hahnemann but Illuminated by Dr. Kent in the first chapter of his philosophy.  here I am not going to explain the exact meaning of sick or sickness, but here my focus is only about, what is the hidden link in this aphorism given by Dr. Hahnemann in the connection with Selection of medicine.
When I read this section in repeated mode , my focus is suddenly directed toward the object of Hahnemann and that  was sick, When we read first chapter of kent’s philosophy, here Dr. Kent says, It is not organs of our body, not a part like hand legs, liver, kidney or any other part of the body actually in trouble, it is a man himself suffering from diseases   Now if you thinks a moment with the condition of peach mind, you can easily understand that “The object of our case taking is man himself not his/her body part or organ” so we have to collect symptoms that is in respect of man himself not about her/his body part or organs.   If you want to treat your patient constitutionally, this aphorism of Dr. Hahnemann is well worthy.   But if disease is not of constitutional nature but has only local origin (Not dynamic in nature) so you can treat a body part.
Another very important hint regarding selection of medicine has been given by Hahnemann in the aphorism No 5 that is   “ Useful to the physician in assisting him to cure are the particulars of the most probable exciting causes, of the acute diseases, as also the most significant points in the whole history of the chronic disease, to enable him to discover its fundamental cause, which is generally due to a chronic miasm. In these investigations, the ascertainable physical constitution of the patient (especially when the disease is chronic) his moral and intellectual character, his occupation, mode of living and habits his social and domestic relations, his age, sexual function, etc. are to be taken into consideration.”                     This aphorism is fully related with case taking in acute as well as in chronic diseases. In this aphorism Dr. Hahnemann talk about the criteria in acute and chronic disease. According to Dr. Hahnemann during treatment of acute disease, you have a need to know about
 a. Most probable exciting cause - means environmental factors which are enable to excite the complaint of patient, like – Headache worse after exposure to sun rays, cough worse after eating rice, etc.   Information related about modality of the disease is enough to cure an acute disease, but if you are dealing with chronic diseases, you must have to investigate about   a. Fundamental cause – that was always miasm, Psora, sycosis, or syphilis (in simple disease) or found conjointly in complex diseases.   During the treatment of chronic disease, the investigation of miasm should be done in respect of Cause and effect – let me explain what I exact means of cause and effect, please consider following symptoms of syphilis miasm
 1. Necrosis of mastoid process (Sil, Aurum, Cap, Hep, Acid-nit, Lach, Acid-fl, Carbo-an
 2. Necrosis of shine bone (Spongia
 3. Necrosis of left lower jaw (Phos,)
 4. Necrosis of nasal bone (Kali-bi, Merc, Hep, )
In all these example of necrosis of bone cause is same (Syphilis) but effect are different, so investigation of fundamental cause does not mean which miasm is working behind existing malady but it means which effect it actually has produced.         The remedy selection in chronic disease not depend only on miasm but also depend on effect. The same concept is applied for two other maism Psora, and sycosis.   b. Physical constitution - distorted physical constitution or mental makeup is nothing but a imprint of Miasm, a healthy vital force is responsible for developing fetus in the womb. a healthy mother gives birth of a healthy child but if mother is infected with miasm naturally the imprint of the existing miasm will be seen on the baby too. c.  Other investigation – regarding patient like his/her sexual function, mode of living, also give valuble information for selection of homoeopathic medicine.   Aphorism number 3 goes to more deep in order to ascertain what is curable in the disease, that is   “If the physician clearly perceives what is to be cured in disease” here Dr. hahnemann clearly mentioned that the object which is subject of cure, is not discoverable physically, not talk able, but it is perceptible     So only a power of perception can make an ordinary physician to an extraordinary one.      In aphorism 153 Dr. Hahnemann give us some more indication in order to make our remedy selection easy.   “ in order to search a specific remedy, physician must pay to his attention on more striking, singular, uncommon and peculiar sign and symptoms.   Collect all the symptoms of patient and his organ, general as well as particular put into the repertory and prescribe one that covers most of the symptoms. Dr. Hahnemann did not teach us.   Such type of prescription is far apart from the teaching of Hahnemann.
2. Not to give sufficient time to act medicine – Many Homoeopathic physician change their medicine very suddenly, not allowed to act medicine properly, this is also one of the most probable cause to fail a homoeopathic physician. Even after proper selection of medicine, they disturbed his case with his own hands. These are nervous homoeopath and change their medicine nervously.
3. Improper selection of dose – even after proper selection of medicine, a homoeopath is not able to select proper potency, cure will not produce, because for cure, the disease force must be similar to the medicine force in every aspect, in symptoms and strength. So the correct potency selection is also necessary In account of all these fact a homoeopath fails to produce cure
 1.      Improper selection of medicine.
 2.      Improper selection of dose.
 3.      Not allowed to medicine act properly.
 4.      Lac of knowledge of Miasm.
 5.      Lac of power of perception.
 6.      having no knowledge of true indication of medicine.
 7.      having no knowledge of true indication of disease.
 8.      Not able to differentiate acute and chronic disease.
 9.      Not able to take decision where to be consider constitution.
 10.   having immature trust on Hahnemann’s principle.
